Pre-event frenzy took over London Fashion Week

From backstage action to after-parties and controversies to viral videos, a fashion week is a treasure trove of events for brand marketers to capitalise on. The idea of ‘Fashion week’ has inspired a social frenzy across the world, so we had a look at the social media buzz surrounding London fashion week to get a glimpse of the trending topics and influencers, and here’s what we found.

It was interesting to learn that brands which are tweeted about by influential bloggers, stylists, fashion photographers and PR agencies gained considerable attention on social media by way of retweets and these brands became trending topics of conversation. The London Fashion Week (LFW) that started on the 16th of September with Teatum Jones kicking it off, the excitement and chatter about some of the world’s best designers and brands were just the beginning. Designers like Mary Katrantzou, Mulberry and Roksanda presented their collections at this elite gathering of the fashion community, with Oliver Spencer wrapping it up on September 20th.

It’s crucial for brands and marketers alike to understand what the common folks, as well as the fashion community, is talking about so they can ensure that they’re catching on the right trends, celebrities, and fads.
